On April 19, 2019, the Kazakhmys Corporation Polytechnical College hosted the Republican Student Conference on the topic “Youth and Practice: Regional and Global Interests” organized by Kasіpkor Holding and the Polytechnical College of Kazakhmys Corporation.
The purpose of the conference is to identify, support and develop young people who are interested in in-depth study of sciences, which are active in teaching, research, practical and scientific-practical activities.
The conference is an exchange of views, ideas, and is aimed at identifying the intellectual and creative abilities of young people, generating their interest in practical, scientific, research work, public speaking skills, ability to defend their hypotheses and solve practical problems.
The conference was attended by representatives of the strategic development and monitoring department of the “Kasipkor Holding”, large regional enterprises, medical institutions, representatives of the akimat, Balkhash branch of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Karaganda region, town department of education, the Center of Languages, “the Pulse” newspaper, a specialist from the State establishment “Tax Administration of Balkhash town of the Tax Department of Karaganda region of the Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, chairman of the trade union committee that BMF BPO trade union “Kasipkorgan”, representatives of the State Enterprise “Balkhash town Local History Museum” of the Department of Culture, archives and documentation, representatives of the “Centralized Library System of Balkhash” and “Youth Resource Center of Balkhash”, more than 80 students and over 70 teachers from organizations of technical and vocational education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the plenary session of the conference “Youth and Practice: Regional and Global Interests” reports were heard. Then work of the conference was continued in 6 sections. The main directions of the sections: “Natural Sciences”, “Mechanical Engineering and Economics”, “Energy”, “Concentrating and Metallurgical Sciences”, “Languages and Self-Knowledge”, “History and Law”. In order to objectively evaluate the results of the conference, expert commissions were created for each section from among the above-mentioned representatives of enterprises, organizations and institutions.
Conference participants and members of the expert committee listened and discussed the reports. For each section, the expert commission summed up the results and according to the results student participants were awarded I, II, III degree diplomas and heads were awarded letters of thanks. Collections of conference articles were published and distributed.
